Chair. The Chair shall set the agenda for and preside at all meetings of the LWV WWM; provided, however, that any member in good standing may, with at least one (1) weeks’ notice, submit in writing to the Chair a topic to be included on such agenda. The Chair shall also secure the locations for such meetings. The Chair is responsible for knowing the guidelines and requirements for the LWV WWM. The Chair, in the absence or disability of the Advocacy Chair, shall be the keeper of the positions of the LWV WWM and shall ensure its members understand such positions, as well as the positions of the League of Women Voters of the United States and of the League of Women Voters of New Jersey. The Chair shall speak for the LWV WWM, complete required reports, and, in the absence or disability of the Secretary, file such reports.
Co-Chair. The Co-Chair is responsible for knowing the guidelines and requirements for the LWV WWM. The Co-Chair shall, in the absence or disability of the Secretary, keep the minutes of the LWV WWM and of all meetings of the Leadership Committee and shall perform such other functions as may be incident to the office of Secretary. The Co-Chair shall prepare and transmit regular email communications with the general membership. The Chair may, in the absence or disability of the Treasurer, sign or endorse checks, drafts, and notes and shall perform such other functions as may be incident to the office of Treasurer.
Voter Services Chair. The Voter Services Chair develops a plan and sets goals for providing as many voters as possible with accurate, timely and useful nonpartisan information on candidates and election issues. The Voter Services Chair develops strategies for promoting voter turnout on election day, with special emphasis on groups with historically low turnout. This Chair ensures that LWV WWM election activities are carried out in a nonpartisan manner. Activities may include candidate forums for statewide and/or local candidates, ballot measure forums, distribution of printed Voter Guides and other election publications, spearheading voter registration and voter outreach, assisting with mock election activities as needed, and working with Voter Service Committee, if any, to develop a Voter Service Calendar/ Timeline. The Voter Services Chair shall, in the absence or disability of the Membership Chair, maintain records of members’ contact information and renewal dates and shall perform such other functions as may be incident to the office of Membership Chair.
